Performance Management Program
The primary goal of this program is to teach management the techniques to help them develop a performance based staff.
Participants will learn ways to work with staff, plan effectively, develop processes, set personal goals and achieve those goals.
This style of management involves the ability to see the big picture and individuality.
Building an Effective Process
Participants will learn to clarify expectations, roles, and responsibilities of individuals, departments, divisions, and the company.
Performance Measurement
Helps participants identify key areas in the organization and how to establish benchmarks and measurements for recognizing change in performance. Includes how to set performance goals, desired outcomes, and to determine if increased performance has occurred.
Making a Plan That Works
Participants will learn to look at each task, skill, knowledge, and behavior; link performance to the broader strategy/objectives.
How to Give Feedback
Participants will learn to collect and document relevant performance information as it pertains to performance, goals, and behavior.
What's in an Evaluation
Participants will learn how to give a formal and objective written assessment of the staff member’s performance and where they are in relation to the performance plan. Participants will also learn how to discuss, outline, communicate, develop goals, and rate performance goals.
How Do Rewards Fit In
Participants will learn different styles of rewards and how to evaluate the rewards effectiveness. Rewards can be important to individuals, but each individual views rewards differently. Participants will learn how to use different rewards that are in alignment with the overall goals of the organization.
Effective Counseling
Participants will learn how communication, attitude, leading by example, and stress management all apply to recognizing performance problems. Participants will learn about errors that can be made on both sides due to characteristics of the staff or management.
Development or Improvement
Participants will learn how to work with staff and come to agreement on PDP, but will also learn that when the guidelines are not being met how to implement a PIP. This workshop will cover how to motivate staff and avoid employee failure by being a participant in staff development.
Termination, How to End the Relationship
Participants will learn about common errors in firing practices and how to avoid them. Participants will also learn the importance of policy and procedures in this critical circumstance.
Setting and Achieving Goals
Focuses on developing and implementing effective goals. An emphasis will be placed on planning, establishing, and working toward accomplishing goals and objectives; also covers communicating goals and objectives to stakeholders, getting, and measuring results.
